Phoenix Swim Spa and Lap Pools Dealer Participates in Emotional Wellness Month

Southwest Spas, a Hot Tub and Swim Spa Dealer Serving Phoenix and Superstition Springs Arizona Shares Tips for Emotional Health. Offers Free Test Soaks to Local Residents.

October 12, 2017 —

Southwest Spas and Southwest Spas and Pools, selling hot tubs and swim spas in the Superstition Springs and Phoenix area publishes, “3 Ways to Be More Emotionally Calm.”

Melinda Dalacas, manager of Southwest Spas and Pools says that the life people live today is full of stress and anxiety. Methods for de-stressing and relaxing are highly prized skills that should be practiced every day.

Here are three ways to be more emotionally calm.

Create a Peaceful Refuge at Home – There are many ways people can improve the atmosphere at home. A few flowers in every room, soothing music playing and mood lighting are just a few of the things that will make a home more inviting.

The ultimate way to create a relaxing atmosphere is to add a swim spa to the yard or patio. A lap pool offers space to exercise and unwind from home. And, with temperature controlled water and soothing jets at the other end, stress relief is easier than ever. Swim spas are easy to install and can be placed almost anywhere in the home for on-demand fun and fitness.

Before heading out for the day, a few laps in the swim spa followed by hot water massage will prepare the body and mind for the rigors ahead. After any tension and stress has built up, getting into a warm, relaxing swim spa will soak away all of the emotional anxiety and sooth tired muscles.

Take Comfort in Soothing Music – Music of all kinds can be used to sooth jangled nerves. It’s often thought that only relaxing music and soft sounds are appropriate for calming emotions, however, songs that make a person happy will do the trick, no matter what genre they are, or how appealing they are to others.

Exercise to Relax – It may sound counter-productive, but exercise is one of the best ways to relax. Working the muscles hard releases endorphins into the system. They are the body’s natural feel-good hormone, and can help reduce stress and anxiety.

To help local residents understand how portable spas, hot tubs and swim spas can help improve overall health and well-being, Southwest Spas and Southwest Spas and Pools will provide free hot tub or swim spa test soaks during the entire month. They want to encourage residents to check out the benefits of a relaxing soak in the soothing waters for themselves.

Consumers are encouraged to visit the company website at http://www.SouthwestSpas.com to learn more about hot tubs or about the $500 Wellness package (Massage Certificate/Health and Beauty Items) that is available with the purchase of a hot tub or swim spa.

Congress takes aim at shrinking seats, legroom on airplanes

Sep 23, 2018

WASHINGTON — The Federal Aviation Administration would be required to set new minimum requirements for seats on airplanes under legislation to be considered in the House this week, possibly giving passengers a break from ever-shrinking legroom and cramped quarters. The regulation of seat width and legroom is part of a five-year extension of federal aviation programs announced early Saturday by Republican and Democratic leaders of the House and Senate committees that oversee the nation's air travel. Congress faces a Sept. 30 deadline to keep FAA programs running. The Senate will also need to take up the bill this week or...

NC river swirls with gray muck near flooded coal ash dump

Sep 23, 2018

WILMINGTON, N.C. — Gray muck is flowing into the Cape Fear River from the site of a dam breach at a Wilmington power plant where an old coal ash dump had been covered over by Florence's floodwaters. Forecasters predicted the water will continue to rise through the weekend at the L.V. Sutton Power Station. Duke Energy spokeswoman Paige Sheehan said the utility doesn't believe the breach poses a significant threat of increased flooding to nearby communities. Sheehan said the company can't rule out that ash might be escaping the flooded dump and flowing through the lake into the river. Inspectors...

Kavanaugh accuser wants to talk to Senate; terms up in air

Sep 23, 2018

WASHINGTON — The woman accusing Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of a decades-old sexual assault has accepted a Senate committee's request to tell her side next week but Christine Blasey Ford wants to resume negotiations over the exact terms of her appearance, her lawyers said Saturday. It was not immediately clear whether the Republican-run Senate Judiciary Committee would agree to more talks with Ford's team. Also unclear was when she might come to Capitol Hill and she was offering to speak in a public session or a private one. The committee wanted her to appear Wednesday, but she prefers her...
